Bonds was consistently one of the highest LFs in assists and putouts, leading hte league several times. One play does not make a career. In terms of LFs, he had one of the best arms of his generation.
Bonds averaged a full three assists over CF Damon, who had way more chances to throw out people. CFs typically have WAY more assists than LFs.
Like I posted earlier, Bonds averaged almost 11 assists per season during that stretch when he was young, which is a very high number for a LF.
Matt Holliday is a good defender, not great but a good defender with a strong arm.
